The group was founded in 1973 and carries out the lining activity inside the slaughterhouses.
Only in the 1980s, with a view to differentiating its core business, did Paratori enter the world of transport on behalf of third parties.
Taking advantage of the consolidation in the food transport sector and with the aim of diversifying the services offered, it develops know-how through the acquisition of companies operating in the container, steel-intermodal and exceptional sectors.
Why the name “PARATORI”?
The etymology of the word "paratore" derives from the Latin parare, that is to say to decorate/beautify, since once in the fairs, before being put up for sale, the cattle were decorated (dressed up), to attract the attention of the buyers.
Another meaning of "paratore" which is perhaps the closest to the activity that identifies this category of workers, is identified in the subject who stands in front of (stands against) the runaway bovine or horse and keeps it at bay.
The meaning with the passage of time simply defines the person in charge of looking after the cattle, the companion of the same from the moment of stabling up to the slaughterhouse. It was precisely this last activity that gave rise to the Paratori company.
The majority of the fleet is powered by LNG.
