Air rescue Val d'Aosta

Emergency services in Valle d'Aosta began on an experimental basis in 1981; from 1982 it was enriched by the health component (daily with a doctor on call in 1993 and from 1994 with a doctor on call).
Since 1996 the activity has been managed by the Regional Health Service, assuming the current configuration with the presence every day of a doctor (available from dawn to 08:00, then on active duty until the evening ephemeris), two certified mountain guides BLS-D, PHTLS, PBLS, a dog unit in the winter, a second doctor and a third guide in the periods of greatest winter/summer tourist influx.
